Located just minutes from Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island, the town of Bradenton, and everything that makes this region of Florida special, guests are guaranteed to experience a vacation filled with happy memories and all the comforts of home. Offering room for up to 8 guests, the waterfront views of Desoto will bring a peace and tranquility to all who reside under its roof.

Desoto is a home built for families, quiet and unassuming on the outside but offering sweet surprises behind its green door. A spacious living room filled with light centers the home offering a plush sofa and loveseat topped with the softest of materials the color of the sea. Here is where guests can watch the state-of-the-art television, read in the natural light provided by windows on either side of the room, or take a nap when the excitement of travel demands refresh time.

The living room isn’t the only seating area inside this spacious home, however, as a quiet family room, tucked away in another area of the home provides the basics for a quiet evening at home. A simple leather sofa, a large flat screen television, and bookshelves offering puzzles, games, and charming tchotchkes that reflect the sea located just minutes from the home.

A light-filled kitchen will remind guests of home, offering updated appliances, rows of cabinets, and a unique breakfast bar at which residents can sit and chat with the cook or with each other. Fully equipped with everything guests need to feel comfortable, a Keurig coffee maker ensures that the morning java will be instantly available. 

Dining together is not always possible to do in real life but during vacation times it can happen every meal and the dining area at Desoto makes it happen with a dark wood table, four chairs, a leather bench offer enough space for the entire family to eat, play, or engage in conversation in the bright and cheerful room.

The master bedroom is an exercise in cheerfulness and comfort, featuring a king bed topped with sunny and soft linens, a walk-in closet, and its own private ensuite bath. Sand-colored tiles grace the walls of the tub/shower combo and a single vanity, a little larger than most, provides plenty of room for grooming necessities.

The second bedroom is another sunny space, this time featuring a queen pillow top mattress and a brightly colorful quilt. This bedroom shares bathroom space with bedroom 3 and the rest of the house, a bathroom offering a walk-in vanity and another generously sized vanity.

Bedroom number three, often called the kids’ space, offers two twin beds and walls that have kept the secrets and cherished the laughter of every child that has resided within. Bright quilts top the beds and happy dreams are destined to take place in this special room.

Our final stop inside Desoto is the laundry area where a full sized washer and dryer take up a walkthrough space, a feature much appreciated by traveling parents of young children. The attached two-car garage is to be used by guests, ensuring everyone stays dry and cozy on a rainy day.

Outside, however, the magic of Florida life blooms bright and true as guests discover a screened in lanai centered with a crystal-clear pool. This is the space where fun will happen as dad shows off his cannonball skills and the kids show off their silly side while parents sit in colorful Adirondack chairs that surround the pool. A barbecue grill and a second dining area out here allows for al fresco meals made even more pleasant by the views of the lake just beyond the screened in pool area; wood steps lead down to a private dock where fishing is often a popular leisure time activity.
